Where does my Dad, my Mom work?
           

Saturday, June 2, 2018 was the date for the seventh edition of the annual event called Family Safety Day, which is subtitled Where does my Dad, my Mom work?
This event is intended exclusively for employees of U. S. Steel Košice and its subsidiary companies together with their families.
Once again, the biggest attraction of this year's Company open day for employees and their families was surely their chance to see the steelworks operations with their own eyes. For the adults and youngsters aged 12 years and over a walk-through guided tour of the Hot Rolling Mill was arranged. Visitors could see slabs being heated in the pusher furnaces, sheet being rolled out between the readying and finishing passes, then going through laminar cooling and finally being rolled up into coils.
Bus tours lasting all of 50 minutes around the whole steelworks were also prepared, taking in most of the divisional plants and this year driving right through the hall of HDG Line no.3. Naturally there was also a very varied accompanying program all over the main parking lot and grass area outside the main entrance to U. S. Steel Košice.
