Not particularly tricky words this time, but just some ideas associated with the Košice Peace Marathon. The English version of the title puts the city name first, in
line with worldwide practise (for example the Boston Marathon - the world's oldest, London Marathon, New York Marathon), and the principle that it is an international event is taken for
granted.
In any case, it is not possible to create a neat abbreviation like "MMM" or develop a striking dove logo from the English words. The people who run marathon races are
"marathoners", and naturally they have to be excellent long-distance runners or endurance athletes ("vytrvalci"). At some point on the marathon course they have to overcome a physical and mental
break-point called "the wall" - ask Olympic favorite Paula Radcliff of Great Britain (but stand well out of her reach!) about the 36th kilometer and the Athens heat.
