There's a large number of tricky Slovak words in these extracts - things like "jubileum", "jubilanti" and "jubilujúci" to start with. I insist that monarchs can celebrate a silver jubilee after 25 years and a golden jubilee after 50 years of their reign. The London Underground's Jubilee Line was built to mark Queen Elizabeth II's silver jubilee in 1977.

Other people can celebrate something else in English - a significant milestone or a round-figure anniversary, for example. The next one is "ocenenie", because this could be an award of some kind, like a material prize, or it could just be the expression of thanks for something, in which case it is appreciation in English.

Then there is "filiálka", which could be a branch office of a bank, or it could be a whole company, so I go back to the Latin "filia" meaning "daughter", think of "dcérska spoločnosť", and get to "subsidiary" in English. The last thing is "krst" for a book (or CD), and because I don't want the Bishops' Conference of Slovakia on my back, I've used "presentation" instead.
