Kosice, June 6, 2006 - The Gallery of U. S. Steel Kosice will please lovers of art with another interesting exposition at the end of the week. The
nineteenth exhibition shall be the work of academic painter from Presov Anna Hausova, with selections of her creative works. Textile creations may be considered the author`s long-time domain.
Woven tapestries, bobbin lace, special textile objects as well as batik are techniques with which she has proven to be able to work with inventively, and seek new styles of their creative use. In
the middle of the nineteen-nineties her body of work was enriched with the inclusion of sketching and painting. Early on she worked with pencil, and later added colors, combined techniques and
pastel. The collection of the drawing and paintings of Anna Hausova is a recapitulation of her production over the past ten years, enriched by a return to the author`s roots in textile.
The exhibition shall take place on Thursday June 8th 2006 at 17:00. The exhibition will last until August 4th 2006 during work days from 8:00 to
15:30.
A brief biography
Anna Hausova was born in Presov. At the industrial - art middle school in Kosice she studied the field of graphic design, in 1982 she completed her studies at the
University of visual arts in Bratislava in the field of textile. Since the year 1997 she has been instructing at the Visual arts department, the Faculty of humanities and natural sciences at
Presov University. She has held her own exhibition ten times, while she has taken part in more than forty collective and incorporated exhibitions both home and abroad.
