Grant program of U. S. Steel Košice

MISSION OF THE PROGRAM:

The mission of the program is to motivate, identify and support community development projects initiated by local groups and prepared and executed in wide multi-stakeholder partnerships.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM:

• To empower local communities through self-help and strengthen community spirit in the solution of local problems by mobilization of local resources

• To motivate creation of long-term wide multi-stakeholder partnerships on community level involving participation of local self-help groups

• To stimulate innovative solutions and best practices serving others as replicable examples

• To support local community initiatives in which USSK employees are active participants

U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. opened on December 12, 2022 the 16th edition of the Together for the Region grant program, in which a total of 30 000 euros will be distributed to support public-benefit community projects in Eastern Slovakia.

Grants from this program are available on application to non-profit organizations and local councils for projects actively involving employees of U. S. Steel Košice and its subsidiaries in the Košice and Prešov regions. Grants up to the maximum amount of 3 000 euros will be awarded to support innovative projects designed to improve safety in all fields of life, develop purposeful free-time activities for children and young people, as well as to promote environmental activities and cultural values preservation.
