TIN MILL
Characteristic
All steels are produced using modern BOF technology; the prescribed chemical composition is strictly maintained. Fully killed steels are continuously cast into slabs. Sheets are rolled on a five-stand mill. Afterwards the material is continuously or batch annealed and skin passed (SR sheets) or double reduced (DR sheets). The tin layer is continuosly applied on both sides of the sheet by electrolytic tin coating.
Tin mill products are provided as wide coils or sheets with tin using the MSA based process.
Applications
Black plate – used for the production of transport containers, lids, toys, guide signs and for further metal coating.
Electrolytic tinned plate – used for the production of food packages, beverage containers, decorative tins, lids, closures, 2 piece cans, 3 piece cans, drawn cans, ends, crown caps, toys and other products.
