An important manufacturer of white goods required supplying the galvanized material with a surface treatment that would ensure the material compressibility without adding additional pressing oils and at the same time ensure a high corrosion resistance.

OUR SOLUTION |
In 2015 U. S. Steel Košice started to produce galvanized sheet with the TOC (Thin Organic Coating) surface finish that complies with these requirements. It reduces the coefficient of friction during the pressing without adding lubrication oils and, at the same time, ensures three times higher corrosion resistance compared to standard passivation surface treatment. Such material is suitable not only for manufacturing household appliances but it can be also used in the construction or automotive industry.
