U. S. Steel Family Run mini marathon brings whole families together
This year's first Sunday of October will also belong to athletes and their fans in Košice. So far, more than 5,000 runners from 39 countries have signed up for all disciplines of the Košice Peace Marathon. Among them, many employees of U. S. Steel Košice. Since its operation in Slovakia, U. S. Steel Košice has been the general partner of this event. Its name also bears the popular mini marathon U. S. Steel Family Run, which involves children with parents and a number of amateur athletes in running. They will already take to the track in the center of Košice on Saturday afternoon, 1 October.
Social responsibility and support of employees and the local community is part of the key corporate values of U. S. Steel Košice. Without willing partners, it is not possible to organize such a professional event, which is important for Košice and the region and which has its place among successful European and world marathon capitals. For many foreign participants, it is also an opportunity to get to know Slovakia and the people in it. Let's take these chances together.
