Interns in full occupation

The summer internship program for more than forty third- and fourth-year college and university students at U. S. Steel Kosice has shifted over into its second half. As Ocel Vychodu was told by the head of the education section in the department of GM HR Development and Services Helena Michaeliova, the participants in this year's internship will go down in the history of its organizing so far as being among the best and showing the most initiative of all. This does not just concern their performance in their assigned workplaces, where they are spending three days every week, but also their extra-mural activities. They have already been through the team-building as well as the management training sessions - but the most important component still awaits the interns. This will be their case-study work. This is scheduled for three days, and the students' challenge will be to make the most of all the new experience and insights they have gained at the steelworks to find the most effective solution to changes in the human resources part of a fictitious small company. This assignment has been prepared for them by specialists in the department of GM HR Development and Services, and presentations of the case studies prepared by the students are set for the end of August.
