Almost everything is already prepared for it so that the Main Street in our city can be transformed, also in this year, into a Christmas fairy-tale country full of the smells, tastes, lights and good humor. It will happen on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. when Santa Claus comes to our city. To the main partners of the traditional event, which brings to Košice people and visitors of the East Slovak metropolis lots of amusement as well as surprise, belongs company U. S. Steel Košice.

„The Košice center will be richer lighted. Our twenty-meter Christmas tree will have a new Christmas decoration consisting of sixteen thousand luminous spots and further one hundred special LED bulbs. New lights will be installed also near fountains, 3D fish will be swimming in the singing fountain, and as a novelty will be further tree near the Lower Gate. The lights will veil also the St. Elisabeth Cathedral“ Košice Mayor Richard Raši informed at the meeting with journalists. From Friday, December 4 to Wednesday, December 23, 2015 a rich and miscellaneous program is prepared on Main Street.  More than 700 performers will appear in this program, among others Filip Tůma, Lukáš Adamec, Pavol Hammel, Natascha Write, Katka Knechtová, The Backwards, Fragile and many others. And there will not be missing the sale of Mayor's punch from which a yield will go to four organizations, and of course, there will not be missing popular Christmas markets with more than fifty stands. Among them will also be this stand from the Košice steelworks in which the 18 non-profit organizations occupying themselves with public-benefit activities will be gradually introducing themselves to the public. It is certainly worth seeing it. You can find it on traditional site near the Immaculate statue where the central podium will stand.

The detailed program of the Košice fairy-tale Christmas is included in the contents of the Christmas calendar which will be distributed, as well as in the last years, to the Košice households.
