September 1st saw the beginning at U. S. Steel Košice of a paper-saving competition through which the Company intends to contribute to reducing costs, protecting the environment and improving the surroundings of the steelworks. The money which is saved will be used for planting trees and enhancing the area which the steelmakers work in.

To get everyone into the right mood for a saving spree, from October 1st we're all going to join in the Printfree Week challenge. In the ensuing seven days everyone is going to try and see how they can function without any printing, or at least without printing out the documents which they don't absolutely need to have on paper. The team which meets this challenge best will be announced and rewarded during next year's Family Safety Day.
