The sixth successful edition of the annual corporate event called Family Safety Day, subtitled Where does my Dad, my Mom work? and intended for U. S. Steel Košice employees and their families, took place on Saturday, June 3 this year. The organizers of this Company open day put on a rich and varied program, which was enjoyed by the best part of 5000 visitors. The most attractive features for the steelmakers' families were surely the plant tours. There was a walking tour giving those interested the first ever opportunity to see close-up the production operations of the Cold Rolling Mill, Dynamo Line and Pre-painting Line, while the second possibility was a bus tour of the steelworks taking in the majority of the divisional plants with a chance to look inside the Hot Rolling Mill hall. These two tours served a combined total of more than 2200 visitors.
