Top managers from Pittsburgh visit Kosice again

Just two months after the last visit from the USA, Kosice managers had another opportunity to meet members of United States Steel Corporation top management last week. The group arriving in Kosice on Wednesday, December 3rd, consisted of Corporation President John P. Surma, Deputy Chairman of the Board Roy G. Dorrance, newly-appointed Vice-president Services Eugene Trudell, and Executive Vice-president Operations John H. Goodish. They came to thank their Kosice colleagues just before the end of the year for the results achieved in 2003, and to inform them about what is new in the USA. The Corporation representatives brought with them from America the Corporate Excellence Award for 2003, recently presented to the firm by the US Secretary of State Colin Powell. In John Surma's opinion this award is the consequence of the Kosice steelmakers' work, and so it belongs by rights in Kosice. Activities in Kosice continue to proceed excellently, and the management is happy with the work of leaders and employees alike.
