President meets trades unionists

Lohr comes to see the members of Metalurg U. S. Steel Kosice Trades Union Council so that they can exchange experience from events within the Company. The principal topic of discussion at the latest meeting was the Company's results for 2007 and the prospects for the end of the year. The President also answered questions from the trades union leaders concerning the work and lives of the employees.

Wish-fulfillment time approaches
Christmas. It'll be here before long. We'll be choosing gifts for our nearest and dearest, which Christmas is unthinkable without. The Wishing Trees project at
U. S. Steel Kosice too, conceived by USSK President's wife Susan Lohr, the third year of which has just got under way. This has children in mind, boys and girls in foster homes also
have their own dreams and wishes. Thanks to the Kosice steelworks there are already hundreds and hundreds of foster home children who have been overjoyed to have their wishes fulfilled.
The Christmas trees which have "sprung up" this week in the traditional spots around the USSK works area will surely bring joy to some more. This year it's the
children in foster homes in Presov, Medzilaborce, Spisske Vlachy and Spisska Bela who have written down by hand their own Christmas wishes. You too can help fulfill them for them. All you have to
do, between now and December 6th, is pick a wish from one of the Wishing Trees and take the desired gift either to the Public Affairs building in the USSK Public Access Area between 6 am and 3.30
pm on working days, or to the Autumn of Life Civic Association's senior citizens' club at 24, Tr. SNP in Kosice between 2 and 5 pm from Monday to Friday. There'll be a little reward for you in
the form of a wooden angel made by the children in the Podolinec foster home, who experienced indescribable happiness from last year's gifts, but much more than that, you'll have a good feeling
and peace in your heart.
