SEPS increases reliability of transmission lines

Greater reliability in the supply of electrical energy to U. S. Steel Kosice will be ensured by the new connection of the steelworks to the very high voltage (400 kV) transmission network run by the Slovakian electrification and distribution company SEPS, a.s. This step is linked with the modernization of the steelworks input substation, where two 400/110 kV transformers with 250 MVA output are being installed together with peripheral equipment. These new transformers replace the original 220/110 kV units, which have been in operation here since 1968.
