U. S. Steel Kosice successfully completes preregistration
The new European chemicals legislation known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) stipulates that we can continue producing, importing and using chemical substances only if we promptly preregister and then fully register these chemicals. The process of preregistration, which includes the submission of the required information by the potentially registering party, began on June 1st of this year and ended on Monday of this week, December 1st 2008. This process has also been successfully completed by U. S. Steel Kosice. Preregistration of substances, according to USSK REACH Director Petra Kralova, entitles the Company to make use of the temporary registration period to continue producing and selling chemicals without changes during this time.
